Cancelled!!!

This morning i had pretty much no sleep. Up and walking around at 5am, my dog even had her breakfast at half 5 this morning. Got to the hospital at 20 past 6, got really nervous waiting to go in the ward and had a little breakdown. At 7 we went into the waiting room with a recliner chair, the nurses knew i was nervous so they gave me my own room to wait in with my mum and boyfriend which had a toilet and a shower! I met my nurse and then my anethesist came in and asked me some questions, i got told i was 4th on the list so my operation would be about 10am. I told her about my slight cough, she listened to my chest and then spoke with my surgeon and said it was a risk to go ahead with the surgery so it got cancelled. So its been cancelled 4 times now. I am relieved but i am annoyed aswell as im going to have to go through this whole thing all over again! Il post when i have my new date :)

Day before surgery!!!

Its the day before surgery! Time flys when your nervous about surgery coming up. This is a picture of my overbite. Should be having surgery tomorrow but as its already been cancelled three times im waiting for that phonecall for them to say its been cancelled again. If they don't ring and i am in hospital in the morning lets hope they wont cancel it because i have a slight cough/cold!



Ive been having some really strange dreams prior to this surgery ive had a dream i had surgery and they moved my jaws the wrong ways and i got stuck in a rugby match! Ive also had triplets on my birthday, ive had a dream my work has been taken over by a gang and my boyfriend broke up with me. I also had a dream i ran the marathon and my mum bought me turtles for my birthday and me and my boyfriend had to quickly buy a tank to put them in before they died. All of these dreams have been in the past week! Im assuming its nerves and hopefully they will stop after the surgery because there quite strange haha.

My boyfriend (Jamie) hopefully has tomorrow of work so he will be coming to the hospital with me and my mum for 7am tomorrow. Im not that hungry but i know i need to keep eating as i will regret it after surgery if i dont eat loads now! Still not sure what to have as my last meal for dinner tonight, maybe pasta carbonara, not sure yet! Will decide in a few hours. So, my next post will either be in a few hours if my surgery is cancelled again or in a few days eeek. Wish me luck!!

9 Days To Go!

Ive had my pre op for the 3rd time now. As my surgery has been cancelled three times so in theory i will be having my operation for the 4th time next friday. Starting to get nervous now. I have been eating everything i can as i will be on a liquid diet for a few weeks then soft foods up until 6 weeks post op! It is a long time to not eat anything and im sure i will struggle as i usually eat so much! Here is just a couple of photo's before my operation. I will post some of my overbite before the op :)

Ive had braces now since October/November 2010 so long enough now lol! I should have the braces for about 6-9months post op. I have been told i will be in hospital from the Friday morning until Sunday and will have a post op appointment on the Monday. There's a few things im worried about:
-Looking worse after surgery
-Permenant numbness
-Being sick after surgery
-Not eating for so long and loosing to much weight
-Being housebound for too long

Oh and of course all the other worries with surgery and anesthetic, not waking up, not coming round well, swallowing too much blood and all of the other risks, sorry if you're reading this pre surgery im sure everything will go smoothly and i will update soon.
